Moving Right along

Fun with sisters

Life in the Kragtorp household has been trucking along at the usual break-neck speed. Somehow Rosalie managed to turn 7months old, and Addy seems more like the 3-year old that she'll be in January.

Addy's obsession with food continues unabated. She helps make a lot of her favorite foods and is actually quite, well, helpful! Her stirring technique has been refined and rarely results in a spill. She is a pro at building a sandwich or filling up pita bread. And she's got the recipe for her morning cereal down pat - she'll often let me know if I've forgotten an ingredient!

Her current favorite 'toys' are a bunch of condiments that have been collected over time from various takout places. They become juice, pizza, strawberries, cereal, and many other yummy foods that she makes for us. Does it tell you something about how we get by some days if I mention that her latest favorite game is playing "Pizza delivery man"?

Rosalie has had a lot going on in her world of food as well. After a bit of an illness I wasn't able to get my milk supply back up, so she has now been completely changed over to formula. Given how difficult it was this time around, I'm thrilled that we made it to 7 months. She's also eating her solid foods like a champ. I have yet to find anything that she doesn't like!

Rosalie is still incredibly strong. Her latest trick is standing by herself while holding on to furniture. She can't get up on her own, but once you put her there she can keep it going for quite some time! She is starting to manage a bit of scooting on her tummy as well, and I'm sure I'll be surprised at how quickly independent movement arrives for her.

As we head into the holiday season, we're looking forward to some great celebrating with our family, as well as Rosalie's first big trip to North Dakota. I want to take this opportunity to extend to everyone my wishes that the next couple of months will bring you peace and happiness as well!
